Whit and Polly Spaulding worked with Ausbon Sargent and the New England Forestry Foundation (NEFF) to protect 2.8 acres of their land, which abuts the 130 acres of Little Sunapee Memorial Forest. NEFF owns and manages the property. The addition of this property provides much needed access to that portion of the south of the brook that runs from Little Lake Sunapee to Goose Hole. The land will remain forested to continue to protect Little Lake Sunapee's watershed quality.
Although not required by the easement, both NEFF easements are open to the public.
This property will be maintained in perpetuity as open space, with forestry being the only permitted commercial activity.
