October 26, 2022: New London, NH – On Sunday, October 23^rd, Ausbon Sargent hosted its 35th Annual Meeting at the New London Historical Society with over 60 members in attendance. There was an introduction of the board and staff members, volunteers were thanked for their important service hours, and minutes were accepted from the 2021 Annual Meeting, which had been held virtually. Presentations were provided by the Treasurer, the Investment Committee, and the Chair, Jeff Hollinger. Executive Director, Debbie Stanley, provided an informative slideshow presentation, explaining the land projects that had been completed over the last year, as well as what Ausbon Sargent has been doing to follow its strategic plan.

Retiring as a Trustee was Jim Owers, who sat on the board for nine years, served as Secretary and Chair of the Land Protection Committee and the newly formed Stewardship Committee. Jeff Hollinger stepped down from his role as Chair, and handed the gavel over to Lisa Andrews, the previous Vice-Chair, who has been on the Board since 2018. Jeff will continue to serve as a valuable board member, and Jim will continue as a member of the Stewardship Committee.  Both Jim and Jeff were presented with framed photos of protected properties they were each especially fond of.  

New nominees to the Board were Russ Moore and Chuck Bolduc, who were voted in by the membership unanimously. Second-terms to the board were accepted by unanimous vote for Laurie DiClerico, Susan Ellison (Secretary), and Bob Zeller (Vice-Chair).

A unanimous vote to change the by-laws allowed for the addition of the newly formed Stewardship Committee to exist as a standing committee of the Trust.

Debbie Stanley, Executive Director, was recognized for her 35 years of exemplary service to the Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust. She will retire in June of 2023. A recap of the officers of the Land Trust for the next year are:
