On Friday, November 21, 2025 Ausbon Sargent closed on the donation of a conservation easement on the Hayes Hill Preserve in Springfield, NH. Gene Hayes and Susy Isbell donated an easement on their 63 acres of woodland, which is adjacent to other protected land and has been managed for forestry in the past. The property contains walking trails and part of a snowmobile trail, which are open to the public for low-impact recreation. It also provides scenic views from I-89 and Stoney Brook Road in Springfield. With its good soils, and abundant wildlife (from red efts to moose and bear), this area has been identified in the Springfield Master Plan as an important area to protect.
We are honored that Gene and Susy took this step to ensure that their beautiful and important property will be watched over by Ausbon Sargent, forever.
