On July 31, 2025 the 109-acre Jeffrey property was protected with an easement that was granted by Hedgehog Hill Preservation LLC. This Sutton property has valuable habitat according to the NH Wildlife Action Plan. It includes habitat that is considered: Highest Ranked in the State, Highest Ranked in the Biological Region and Supporting Landscapes. The property also contains good agricultural soils and is managed for agriculture. A six-acre field on the property currently has row crops and fruit trees. The Jefferey property also has good forestry soils and important wetlands, including vernal pools. The property is open to the public for low-impact recreation, and is listed as an important area for protection in the Sutton Master Plan.
