Start off the Halloween festivities with a Halloween-themed story walk and spooky scavenger hunt at the Kidder-Cleveland-Clough Extension Trail, owned by the Town of New London. This will be a self-guided walk on trail, where pages from a storybook will be present throughout. Stop and read the pages, and venture on to the next page along the trail. Suggestions for each stop will invite walkers to explore a bit off the trail to find spooky items that relate to the story. This event is especially for kids, but is open to all who are kids at heart! Come and go as you please. The trail is less than a mile in length and is a loop.
Special thanks to Tracy Memorial Library who will set up the story walk portion of this event.
Parking for this walk is located at the Ausbon Sargent office. From the parking lot, turn left down Pleasant Street and the trailhead will be on the right. Watch for an Ausbon Sargent sign at the entrance.
