The Ausbon Sargent Land Preservation Trust (ASLPT) respects the privacy of its donors and has put in place a Donor Privacy Policy to honor these rights.
Donor information
ASLPT collects and maintains the following types of donor information when it is public information or voluntarily provided to us:
- Contact information such as name, address, telephone number and e-mail address
- Giving information
- Participation such as serving on a committee and monitoring ASLPT properties; also, information on events and workshops attended
- Information shared by the donor in the form of interests, comments, suggestions, etc.
This confidential information is stored securely in our Salesforce Nonprofit Success Pack and LOCATE database. It is used to analyze overall giving patterns in order to make more accurate budget projections, as well as to understand donors’ interests in our mission and to update them on ASLPT’s plans and activities. This information may be shared with staff, board members, and consultants only on a confidential and need-to-know basis.
List Sharing
ASLPT does not sell, rent, or trade its donor list with any other organization. We do list our members by giving category in the summer issue of our newsletter Chatter but donors are able to choose to be anonymous.
Internet Collection of Personal Information
Our web server automatically records the domain name and Internet Protocol (IP) address of each visitor to our site. We collect and analyze this information to help us improve the site and its resources for our visitors. This information helps us determine which pages are visited, for how long, and the site visited immediately beforehand. ASLPT uses Google Analytics to measure visitor interaction with the website. When donating online or by credit card, ASLPT uses the company Stripe which is a payment processing platform that allows ASLPT to accept payments over the internet. We collect personal information from donors such as name, email, mailing address and phone number that is voluntarily submitted to us. We do not see credit card information when a donation is made online. If a donor provides ASLPT with credit card information, this information is not kept on file. https://stripe.com/privacy

Our website may contain links to other Internet websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of these websites. These policies should be reviewed in connection with the use of such third-party sites.
Internet Communications
ASLPT uses Constant Contact to send email updates to our donors who have provided us with their email address. Donors may opt out of receiving ASLPT E-blasts by clicking “unsubscribe” at the bottom of the email and following the subsequent instructions. If a donor opts out of Constant Contact this does not automatically opt a donor out of paper mailings or one on one direct email, it only removes the individual out of mass mailings to our full community. Donor’s Rights
Donors may request a summary of information retained by us, and/or can modify, correct, change, or update such information by contacting ASLPT. Donors may also request that ASLPT remove from its database any personally identifiable information previously provided to us. Complete removal may not be immediate, and some information may be impossible to delete as it is linked to our tax filing. Donors who would like to opt out of receiving any communications, please contact ASLPT at info@ausbonsargent.org or call the office at 603-526-6555.
Security Measures
ASLPT has established reasonable precautions to protect collected personal information from loss, misuse, unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. Although ASLPT has worked to create a secure database and reliable website for our users, the confidentiality of any communication or material transmitted to/from the land trust via the website or email cannot be guaranteed.
Acceptance of Privacy Policy
When using our website and services, users indicate acceptance of this Privacy Policy. If a user does not agree or is not comfortable with any of the terms described in this Privacy Policy, the only remedy is to discontinue use of this site and services.
Changes to the Privacy Policy
We reserve the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will note the last update at the bottom of this Privacy Policy.
