We’re kicking off the summer with our first volunteer workday of the season! We will be cleaning up a meadow on one of our New London easement properties that has been cleared and maintained since the 1800s. The Spofford easement abuts the Webb Forest conservation property on all sides. The Wolf Trail, part of the Sunapee-Ragged-Kearsarge Greenway, runs through the property. We are looking for a small group of volunteers to help us clear out some trees so that the meadow can continue to be mowed, per the terms of the easement.
The hike to the meadow is around 1-mile round trip via the Wolf Trail. Leading to the property, the trail is steep with uneven footing.
This event is free and open to all, but registration is required and limited.
